Minister Henry is the longest serving Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives in Jamaica, dating back to 1980. He also served the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) as Deputy Leader for ten (10) years.

Minister Henry is married to wife Dawn and, is the proud father of four children (three sons and one daughter) from his previous marriage to Stella Eaton. He practices Roman Catholicism and is an avid reader, writer, cricketer and  footballer among others
